Screeners
Filter thousands of symbols on price, fundamentals and indicator values, then save the query.
A screener is a saved question about the whole universe. You pick a universe — US equities, ETFs, crypto pairs, forex majors, futures — add filters, choose a sort, and the result updates as the underlying data does. Filters combine with AND by default; wrap a set in an any group to get OR behaviour.
Three families of field are available. Price and volume fields cover change, range position, gaps, average volume and relative volume. Fundamental fields cover market capitalisation, valuation multiples, margins, growth and dividend yield for equities. Indicator fields expose the full ta namespace evaluated on the timeframe you choose, so rsi14, ema200, atr14 and macdHist are all filterable and all sortable.
Filters can compare a field to a constant or to another field. Close above ema200 is a field-to-field comparison, and so is volume above three times avgVolume30d. That is usually what you want: absolute thresholds age badly across a universe with wildly different price levels, while relationships between fields do not.
Save a screener and it becomes a first-class object. It can be scheduled to run before the open, turned into an alert that fires when a symbol enters or leaves the result set, exported as CSV, or fed straight into a watchlist so the matches appear in your chart sidebar. The screener API in AlgoBeamTS accepts exactly the same query object, so a screen you built by clicking can be run from a script without translation.
