Heatmaps
Treemaps for market breadth, sector rotation and crypto dominance, with configurable weighting.
A heatmap answers a question a table cannot: where is the money actually moving today. Tiles are grouped by sector, sized by a weight you choose, and coloured by performance over a period you choose. Because size and colour are independent, a small red tile beside a huge green one reads instantly as a rally being carried by the largest names.
Weighting options are market capitalisation, free-float capitalisation, dollar volume, or equal weight. Switching between capitalisation and equal weight is the fastest breadth check available: if the map looks green weighted by capitalisation and red weighted equally, the index is being held up by a handful of megacaps and breadth is worse than the index suggests.
The colour period is separate from the chart timeframe. You can colour by today, by the last five days, by month to date, by year to date, or by the change since a specific date. Colour scale is diverging around zero and clamps at a percentage you set, so one outlier does not wash the whole map into a single shade.
Any tile is clickable and opens the symbol on the linked chart. Universes include the major equity indices, sectors and industries, ETFs by category, and crypto by market capitalisation or by dominance. A watchlist can also be used as the universe, which turns the heatmap into a portfolio-shaped view of your own book.
