The whole market on one canvas
A live treemap of the S&P 500, sized by market capitalisation and coloured by today's move. Flip the board to crypto in one click, click a sector to zoom into it, and hover any tile for the number behind the colour.

The board above is a live embed: tiles are laid out with a squarified treemap so rectangles stay close to square at every scale, and prices, sizes and colours update with the market.
Where the money actually went
A single frozen session, aggregated, so the structure of the read is easy to follow. Sector performance is capitalisation-weighted, so a heavy name moving a little outranks a light name moving a lot.

Three variables, one picture
A heatmap is only useful when you know exactly what each dimension encodes. Here is all of it.
Area is capitalisation
Every rectangle is sized by market cap, so the largest name on the board occupies roughly forty times the area of a mid-cap industrial. A two percent move in a giant tile shifts an index far more than a five percent move in a small one — the layout puts that arithmetic in front of you instead of leaving it to mental maths.
Colour is the session move
The scale runs deep red through neutral to deep green and saturates at roughly minus three and plus three percent, so anything past that clips rather than climbing further. Names within a few tenths of a percent render close to grey, which is why a quiet tape actually looks quiet. Hover any tile for the symbol, the last price and the exact change.
Grouping is sector, then size
The stock board packs names into sector blocks, which is how rotation shows up before it reaches the headlines — click a block to zoom into it and the rest of the market drops away. The crypto board has no sector to group by, so it ranks flat by capitalisation and reads as a pure size ladder.
Two habits worth borrowing
- Read the blocks before the tiles. When a sector block is uniformly tinted the move is macro — a rate print, an energy headline, a currency step. When a block is mottled the move is idiosyncratic, and the names inside it are the ones worth opening individually.
- Watch the giants for index effects. The four or five largest tiles carry most of the index weight on the board. When they disagree with the rest of the canvas, the headline number will not describe what most stocks actually did today — and the crypto board tells the same story about the two names at the top of it.
The board streams live quotes; the screener, the alert engine and the backtester are where you turn a patch of colour into a rule you can test. See the markets hub for the rest of the surface.
Ready when you are
Turn a colour on the canvas into a tested rule.
Spotting rotation is the easy half. AlgoBeam takes the name you noticed, screens for every other setup that looks like it, and backtests the idea before you risk anything on it.
